I’m a first-generation American, born and raised in the church. When I was five years old, my parents divorced and after, our family faced trauma such as Domestic Violence and Sexual Asault. Despite the separation, my mother worked tirelessly to create a better life for us. My dad still made weekends matter by bringing us to church. I truly believe that because of the prayers of the church, my mom’s and dad’s prayers, I’ve witnessed God’s loyalty, faithfulness, and the fulfillment of His promises.
